Marie O’ Neill works as Head of Enhancement at CCT College Dublin. Her role involves working with institutional staff to implement enhancements to teaching, learning and research activities. Previously, Marie worked as a professional librarian in the libraries of the Technological University Dublin, University College Dublin, the Oireachtas, the Welsh Office, King’s Inns and Dublin Business School. Whilst working as Head of Library Services at Dublin Business School, the Library went on to win Best Library Team at the 2017 National Education Awards. Marie is also the originator and co-founder of the MSc in Information and Library Management at Dublin Business School which is accredited by the Library Association of Ireland. In 2019, Marie delivered a national iteration of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning’s PACT digital badge in partnership with the National Forum and Munster Technological University. In 2021 Marie acquired a National Forum digital badge on Getting Started in Online Teaching and Learning including the facilitator badge.

Marie has over a decade’s experience of representing Academic Support and Research functions during accreditation and validation exercises. She is the Programme Administrator of the CCT Certificate in Teaching and Learning. She is also a Council member of the Library Association of Ireland as well as a member of the Association’s Library Publishing Group, the Committee of the International Federation of Library Association’s Special Interest Group on Library Publishing, HECA’s HAQEF Committee and the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning’s Advisory Group on a national professional development recognition framework. Marie has published in a number of academic and professional journals and has presented at a range of national and international conferences.
